Shilajit is not a supplement. It is geological time — ancient Himalayan plant matter compressed under rock and transformed over millions of years into the most mineral-dense substance in Ayurvedic tradition. Now in New Zealand.

What is Shilajit
Born from rock. Not manufactured in a lab.
Over millions of years, dense Himalayan vegetation became buried under layers of rock. Compressed by geological pressure and transformed by microbial action, it became Shilajit — a dark, tar-like mineral resin that seeps from rock faces above 18,000 feet during the warmer months. It is collected by hand. Machinery cannot reach where it forms.
Ayurveda has known this substance for over 3,000 years. Classical texts — the Charaka Samhita and Sushruta Samhita — classify Shilajit as a Rasayana: a rejuvenating substance that restores Ojas, the vital essence underlying energy, immunity, and resilience. They describe it as Yogavahi — a potentiator that amplifies whatever it is combined with.
Modern science has spent decades studying why. What it found: Shilajit is exceptionally rich in fulvic acid and humic acid — compounds studied for their role in cellular mineral transport, mitochondrial energy production, and bioavailability enhancement. Ayurveda named the outcome. Biochemistry is describing the mechanism.
“Ayurveda named the outcome. Biochemistry is describing the mechanism.”
Honey is not a sweetener here.
In Ayurveda, the vehicle a substance is delivered in is not incidental — it is part of the formulation. Honey is classified as an Anupana: a carrier that opens channels and transports active compounds deeper into tissues than they could reach alone. It is the oldest delivery system in Ayurvedic medicine.
Shilajit in its pure form has a distinct mineral intensity. We chose honey because it is the classical carrier for Shilajit in Ayurvedic tradition — and because health consciousness should not feel like punishment. Honey makes the formulation accessible. It does not compromise what Shilajit is.
Our honey is processed to NZ import health standards. It is not a flavouring agent. It is a formulation decision made 3,000 years ago.
Our products contain honey. We know this matters to some. We are transparent about every ingredient and why it is present. If you would like to know more, ask Yogi or contact us directly.

Honey Stick
Shilajit Honey Stick
Strawberry
Strawberry's natural brightness balances Shilajit's mineral depth. In Ayurvedic Rasa theory, the sweet and mildly sour taste profile activates Agni — digestive intelligence — preparing the body to receive Shilajit's Rasayana action.
Suitable for Vata and Kapha constitutions. Pitta types: take with cool water.

Dark Chocolate
Cacao contains theobromine — a naturally occurring xanthine compound. In Ayurvedic terms, cacao is warming and Vata-pacifying, aligned with Shilajit's own grounding Rasayana energy. Two ancient sources of vitality in one stick.
Particularly suited for Vata and Kapha. Best taken in the morning.

Pure Resin
Pure Shilajit Resin
No additives
Nothing between you and the source. Pure resin, batch-tested against NABL-accredited standards. The classical method: dissolve a pea-sized amount in warm (not boiling) water or milk. This is how Ayurvedic texts prescribed it. This is how it works best.
Vata and Kapha pacifying. Mildly increases Pitta — best combined with cooling water or milk for Pitta constitutions.
Each batch of Pure Resin ships with its CoA published publicly. You will know the exact fulvic acid content, heavy metals panel, and testing laboratory for your batch.

Ayurvedic tradition
Rasayana
Ayurveda's highest-tier category of rejuvenating substances. Rasayanas act at the root of vitality — not at the level of symptoms, but at the source of Ojas, the vital reserve the body draws on for energy, immunity, and resilience.
Modern science
Fulvic Acid
Modern analysis identifies fulvic and humic acids as Shilajit's primary active fractions. Fulvic acid is studied for its role in facilitating mineral transport across cell membranes and supporting mitochondrial energy pathways — the biochemical correlate of what Ayurveda described as Ojas restoration.
Ayurvedic action
Yogavahi
Classical texts describe Shilajit as Yogavahi — a potentiator that enhances the bioavailability of whatever it is taken with. This is why the carrier matters. Honey as Anupana is not tradition for tradition's sake. It is a delivery mechanism that modern pharmacokinetics would recognise as a bioavailability enhancer.
We do not choose between ancient wisdom and modern science. We use both lenses. That is what YO-GEE means.
Which format suits your constitution?
Vata
Air + Space
Shilajit's warming, grounding, mineral-dense nature directly pacifies Vata. If you experience low energy, cold intolerance, irregular digestion, or restless mind — Shilajit is a classical Vata Rasayana. All three formats are suitable. Dark Chocolate or Pure Resin are particularly aligned.
Pitta
Fire + Water
Shilajit mildly increases Pitta. The Strawberry honey stick's cooling profile offers natural balance. Take with cool water or coconut milk. Avoid taking in the heat of the day. Pure Resin in cool milk is the classical Pitta method.
Kapha
Earth + Water
Shilajit lightens Kapha heaviness and stimulates metabolic fire. Kapha constitutions benefit most from consistent daily use. Pure Resin in warm water is the strongest Kapha protocol. Dark Chocolate honey stick is the most accessible daily habit.
We didn't start this as a business.
We started this because synthetic supplements stopped working — or maybe we stopped believing in them. The shift to natural, specifically to Shilajit, was not a trend we followed. It was something we noticed in our own bodies, in the people around us. Energy that felt different. Vitality that did not feel borrowed from caffeine.
We are not scientists. We are not Vaidyas. We are people who found something that worked and could not stop asking why. YO-GEE is the answer to that question — a brand that tries to explain what Ayurveda discovered and what science is now confirming, in language that anyone can understand.
The name says it: Yoga — the ancient practice of union — adapted into the word the modern world already uses. We are that bridge.
You have the right to know what is in your product.
Every batch of YO-GEE Shilajit is tested at an NABL-accredited laboratory in India before it leaves the country. The Certificate of Analysis covers fulvic acid content, heavy metals panel (lead, arsenic, mercury, cadmium), and purity markers. Each CoA is batch-specific — not a generic document.
We publish every CoA publicly the moment each batch arrives in New Zealand. You can match your product to its batch number and read exactly what is in it.
